DCWD TO SPEND P10B IN TAMUGAN SURFACE WATER PROJECT

DCWDThe P10 Billion Tamugan Surface Water Development Project of the Davao City Water District (DCWD) is expected to start construction next year.

Spokesperson Imelda Magsuci said the project would cost from P9 billion to P10 billion, would start next year and eyed for completion in three years.

The Tamugan Surface Water Development Project that will tap the Tamugan River in upland Marilog District  is projected to deliver 300 cubic meters of potable water daily to Davao City, currently supplied by DCWD with water pumped out of its wells in lowland Talomo district, where the underground water reservoir is facing over-extraction.
