An infomercial on Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is now being aired in television stations in the Visayas and Luzon.
The 30-second paid advertisement shows Duterte with his now famous line: “The trouble with us in government is that we talk too much, act too slow, and do too little.”
The video footage was captured during Duterte’s appearance in a Senate hearing where he testified on rampant rice smuggling carried out in cahoots with corrupt government officials.
“What the country needs is not more laws, but more good men in public service,” Duterte says further in the video.
The ad also showed Duterte visiting victims of Typhoon Yolanda, hospitals and a center for children with cancer. Duterte is also shown with New People’s Army (NPA) rebels releasing to him captured soldiers and policemen; and laying a wreath at the vigil for the Fallen 44 in Camp Crame.
