SABOTEURS BEHIND PRE-POLL SURVEYS

War drums are being banged as supporters of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte denounce results of poll surveys consistently showing the Mindanaoan presidential candidate behind the other contenders.

RIGOR ZABALA

The frustration is loudest in Mindanao bordering on warnings of rebellion.

standardTaking to social media to warn of island-wide revolution against the saboteurs and the Manila government, Duterte supporters flooding Facebook with comments said thepre-poll surveys were manipulated to favor other candidates in the May 2016 elections.

PRO-DUTERTE PEOPLE POWER TO EXPLORE IN MINDANAO

The warning is not new.

In a show of force, Mindanao political leaders earlier warned a split with the central government is inevitable if Duterte is cheated and does not win the May 2016 elections.

But will a Mindanao revolution have enough punch to shock Manila?

The firepower could just be sitting in the corner awaiting marching orders. Mindanaoans – Christians, Muslims and lumads – would love to see their umbilical cord cut from Manila.

roxas aquino sssThe administration of President Benigno Aquino will be leaving in June with a legacy bereft of concern for peace in Mindanao.

The proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), seen as a solution to the Moro problem, has been thrown to the backburner.

Malacanang has closed the door to talks with the leftist National Democratic Front Philippines (NDFP), whose armed wing New People’s Army (NPA) has a heavy presence in many areas of Mindanao.

The Moro problem and the communist insurgency in Mindanao are monkeys riding on the back of the Philippine government for decades.

No President has solved the chaos and violence that have killed thousands of lives, displaced millions and hindered the growth of the southern island.

Duterte has emerged to be the knight in shining armor who could help realize the Mindanaoans’ hope for peace and progress considered inconsequential concerns, through their incompetence and simple lack of  heart for the people of Mindanao, by those in power in Malacanang and Congress.

Duterte, a leading figure in the search for peace in troubled Mindanao, has the support of the Moro rebel groups Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the communist rebels. Christian settlers and lumads have also rallied behind the Duterte presidency.

Duterte has also gained wide adherents to his advocacy for a shift from the present presidential to a federal-type of government.

Federalism would provide regional governments with greater powers including bigger share from taxes and revenue from natural resources.

Mindanao and other provinces, for years at the bottom of the priority list of the centrist Manila government, have shown support to Duterte’s advocacy for federalism that he said he would pursue if elected President.

Federalism, as espoused by Duterte, could be the answer to the Moro and the communist insurgency problems in Mindanao.

Mindanaoans are edgy over suspicion the Duterte presidency would be sabotaged because their future is at stake in the coming election.

Today Mindanaoans love federalism as they hate the dreadful prospect of not seeing Duterte not winning the presidency.

DOGONG SC

In a political forum recently, Duterte urging support for his presidential bid said he is the ‘last card’ of the Filipinos to save the country from perdition.

Amid widespread suspicion that Duterte’s impending presidency is being derailed by saboteurs including operators of pre-poll surveys, will revolution be the Mindanaoans’ last card to save Mindanao?

YOU SHOULD NOT VOTE FOR DUTERTE TO BE PRESIDENT IF YOU DON’T WANT AN END TO THE INSURGENCY THAT HAS HOBBLED THE COUNTRY’S PROGRESS FOR DECADES. Duterte is the only one who can bring to the negotiation table to talk lasting peace leaders of the National Democratic Front (NDF) and its armed wing the New People’s Army (NPA) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). The communist insurgency and the Moro insurgency are the two internal conflict that no President has every resolved.

LAGLAG-BALA

SHARKS AND CROCODILES cum airport and police personnel, inspired by the incompetence of Philippine airport authorities to maintain order and integrity in the airport, steal items from baggage, unashamely beg for gifts and    fleece airplane passengers in an extortion racket called Laglag-Bala. Incoming foreign tourists and businessmen are targets of the thievery and beggary. What a shame and insult to Philippine hospitality! Hapless Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) shell out hard-earned money to these airport robbers and Mar Roxas, presidential candidate of the fumbling Aquino administration, says the OFWs should be blamed if they bring bullets into the airports and could not care less if the OFWs would not vote for him in the May election. Duterte has vowed he would force the airport thieves to swallow live bullets if they are caught under his presidency. Do not vote for Duterte if you want this racket to continue to victimize foreigners and OFWs.

Corruption is now deeply ingrained as a way of life in almost all sectors in the country, in the bureaucracy, in private, etc., etc. Corruption is the root cause of the suffering of the Filipinos, the reason why the country is not moving forward. Don’t vote Duterte if you want the thievery to continue.

Who will stop this demon from taking control of our lives? Nobody except Duterte. If you don’t want our country to be drug-free, Duterte should not be President because he  has vowed to terminate the drug lords and their protectors in the police and military, and dump their dead bodies  in Manila Bay for the fish to feast on.

FAQ

7. Because he’s a lawyer and not a popular showbiz person

Rodrigo Duterte is a lawyer and a distinguished politician. He is not a famous actor or an action movie star. Davao City won several awards, including the National Literacy Hall of Fame Award, under the leadership of Duterte. The Mayor of Davao neither won a best actor award nor starred in a box-office film. So if your wish is to have a president who’s a famous movie star, then you have a reason to not cast a vote for Duterte.

6. Because he strictly implements discipline which may impair your absolute freedom

If you like getting drunk by drinking alcoholic beverages till dawn and drive your car like a racing star, then Duterte is not your president. Duterte banned the selling and consumption of liquors from 1am to 8am in Davao. He also signed an executive order to limit all kinds of motor vehicles in the city to maintain public safety and order. So if you don’t like your countrymen and yourself to be disciplined, find another leader.

5. Because he’s not from your province

Many Filipinos vote for a president who came from their province because they think that if their candidate will be elected, he or she will focus on the development of their region. If you don’t care for the other Filipinos outside your region or if you are electing a president who will help your province rather than your entire country, then you have a reason to not vote Duterte if you’re not from Davao or Southern Mindanao.

4. Because you are a solid loyalist to another candidate

If your loyalty to another presidential hopeful can’t be broken regardless of the incompetence and the acts of corruption that your idol has obviously committed, then nobody can change your vote but you. It’s difficult to abandon a politician whom you have campaigned, defended and fought for over the years, isn’t it? But did your hero politician protect you and your country over the years too?

Because you don’t like a more secure and peaceful country

Davao City is the 9th safest city in the world. You should not vote for Duterte if you don’t like CCTV cameras to be installed in every commercial center in the Philippines. You should not also elect him if you don’t like our country to have a word-class emergency response system like the central 911 which was implemented in Davao City. So if you’re planning to commit a crime or if you’re dreaming to be a drug lord, of course don’t ever think of making Duterte as your president or else you will be in big trouble.

2

Because he’s willing to abolish the Congress

Duterte has promised to end corruption by abolishing Congress and replacing it with a parliamentary federal form of government if he will be elected president. He also vowed to increase the salaries of government employees and privatize the BIR and other government collection agencies to improve their functions and services. Furthermore, he wants Filipino workers earning P25,000 per month and below to be exempted from paying taxes.

Thus, if you love Congress and you’re impressed with the performance of our congresspeople, if your salary as a government employee is already too much for your family’s needs, if you’re happy with our current tax system, and if you want corruption in the country to continue, then never mind voting for Duterte as president.

1

Because you don’t know him and you don’t like making a research

We’re too busy with our daytime jobs. We need to work hard to build a bright future for our children. Some Filipinos, especially the young generation, are also busy reading and following showbiz personalities rather than knowing our future leaders. If you think that researching or finding the best leader for our country is a waste of time and will not help your children and grandchildren, then stay as a clueless voter.

  1. Filipinos are undisciplined as a people, brazenly corrupt, and thievery has become so nauseating in all echelons in government, drugs and crimes goes on unabated, and government seems helpless to stop all these nefarious activities. The only presidential candidate that can stop all these evils that has plagued our country since we gained independence is no less than Mayor Duterte, the only candidate who has the muscle, determination, and undaunted courage, coupled with his proven track record in stamping out all forms of crimenalities in Davao City.He is the man of the hour. It is hoped that the Filipino voters will not miss this once in a life time opportunity.

  2. These are great campaign lines… Digong may be your man of the hour. But many of these lines are half truths, bashing of other presidential candidates and a cheap shot at reverse psych. Davao is not the 9th safest city in the world by any measure — aside from the Numbeo user surveys.
